For some reason, designing for other people comes way easier than designing for myself. When I first sat down to draw up my design identity, I found a lot more questions than answers. How do I present myself? What’s my message? Who am I trying to impress? Do I even have a favorite color? How do I stay out of my head long enough to answer any of these? No biggie.

When it came down to it, less was more. I’ve always enjoyed simplicity, clean design, and pops of color through an otherwise monotone/analogous palette. I also wanted a flexibility in the design that would allow me to elegantly expand my brand and grow as a business. As a self-proclaimed “design generalist,” I’m interested in all aspects of design. I use every skill I can to connect the proverbial dots of a problem in order to find a solution.

And that was it. I just had to connect the dots.

(Also, in case anyone was wondering, my favorite color is black, but I’m a sucker for a good neon accent)
